its been a lil more than a week since the last paper has ended.
and am beginning to dread getting back my Japanese Anime grades ...
basically screwed up my term paper and the tutor was pretty anal. i have this hunch that she actually penalized me for not using ibid in my bibliography, but i've honestly never used it for chicago style for the entire 3 1/2 years in NUS.
oh well ... hopefully the other modules will push up my anticipated C. o.o bah

xmas is nearing , and bobo will be back in singapore real soon ^^ which means we probably have to decide on the trip and book the flights very soon ... hmmm ...
on another note, my poor battered monster's-hand-me-down nokia 6280 has been hanging up on me so often that we've decided to trade it in (while the value has not depreciated so much yet) for another slidie. managed to catch the unlimited sms deal too. though i still love the l'amour very much,  N95 rawks =)

political science was kinda breezy, finished 1/2 hr
ahead of the stipulated time. was panicking earlier in the day coz i
was only fully prepared for 4 outta 12 lectures. luckily ... even the
short answer question was based on international relations &
globalization. damn heng !
one down. there's still soci thought and japanese film to go. o.o

and trust coco to imeem all my favourite audition tracks. ^^
sec school kids really have a lot of time on their hands. heh ...
she misses chancing at 140 bmp and i yearn for hardcore 8k night,
if only the constant darn patches didnt screw up the soundcard. tsk.

we've decided to get the 1st half of our x-mas stuffies early this year,
coz its kinda on a limited edition basis. build-a-bear, build-a-bear.

Face-to-face with Tutankhamun

The BBC's Ian Pannell was among a small group of
guests and journalists invited to watch Egypt's chief archaeologist, Dr
Zahi Hawass, reveal King Tutankhamun's face to the public for the first
time.

We were taken deep underground into a small chamber with
a low roof and hieroglyphics painted onto an ochre-coloured wall on one
side.

A group of workmen slowly opened the golden coffin and raised the mummy onto a wooden stretcher.

Until today, only about 50 living people had seen
Tutankhamun's body. Suddenly there we were, face-to-face with the
blackened, shrivelled body of the boy king.

It was a rare and incredible moment.

For generations, Tutankhamun has captured the public
imagination around the world. Although he was only a minor royal in his
day, it was the treasures discovered in his tomb that turned him into
one of the iconic symbols of ancient Egypt.

At the turn of the 20th Century a team of US
archaeologists rashly declared there were no new discoveries to be made
in the Valley of the Kings. But British archaeologist Howard Carter
refused to accept this and together with his team spent many years
following clues around this crumbling valley.

On 4 November 1922 he discovered the first flight of
stairs that would ultimately lead down to the tomb and the treasures of
Tutankhamun.

More than 3,000 years after he died and 85 years after
his tomb was discovered, King Tutankhamun still has the power to
enthral. Now his fans will be able to come face-to-face with him for
the first time.
